Terms and Conditions

FEES PAYABLE

PAYMENT: Our tuition fees are payable in two instalments. The first instalment is due within the first week, at the beginning of each term. At this time, we require payment for three weeks of fees upfront. The remaining fees for the term are then to be paid by week four. In addition to tuition fees, we have resource fees of $80 per term, which contribute to providing necessary materials and resources for our students. For new students, there is an enrolment fee of $50 to cover administrative costs. We also have excursion payments, which may vary depending on the specific excursions planned. If there are any adjustments to the fees to account for inflation, we will provide families with written notice at least one term in advance.

COOLING OFF PERIOD: New students are given a 3-week cooling off or adjustment period, during which their suitability within the program is observed. If it is determined by management that Atheera Education (AE), agents, and staff are not adequately equipped to support the needs of a student, or if it is deemed that our values are compromised, AE has the right, in consultation with the parents, to refer the student to a more suitable service. In such cases, only the payment for the initial 3 weeks applies.

TERMINATION AND REFUND: Once a full term is agreed upon, it must be paid in its entirety regardless of any termination that may occur within the term. Refunds are not provided. Parents have the freedom to terminate the tutoring contract at the end of any given term, but this will not affect the requirement to pay the tuition fees in full.

FAMILY HOLIDAYS & ABSENCES: Regarding family holidays and absences, the full term fees are applicable regardless of any holidays taken or absences during the term. No adjustments to the fees will be made in such cases.

LATE PAYMENT OF FEES: If fees remain overdue for more than two weeks, the student’s enrolment may be suspended, and AE will be required to suspend the student’s attendance and participation until all fees are paid in full.

TERMS: Our terms typically follow the 10-week schedule of NSW public school terms, apart from the term that coincides with Ramadan & Eid, which may have a different timetable. If our terms extend beyond 10 weeks, there will be additional costs incurred for each extra week.

DISCLAIMER

Atheera Education is a tutoring service that offers valuable support to homeschooling families. It is important to note that we are not a school and therefore not bound by the rules, regulations, and expectations typically associated with traditional schools. Instead, our role is to complement and assist homeschooling parents in their educational journey.

It is essential for families enrolling in Atheera Education (AE) to understand that registering their school-aged children with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is a legal requirement. Parents are responsible for completing their own registration process through the department and adhering to the obligations outlined by NESA Please note that AE does not provide assistance with the registration process, NESA appointments, or any related matters.

  • Tutors are expected to treat the student with kindness, fairness, and care, and provide necessary first aid treatment when required.
  • AE is responsible for providing all completed tasks and written work by the student at the end of each term or as requested.
  • As part of our duty of care, AE retains the right to act in the best interest of the student while they are under the care of AE.

NON-OBLIGATIONS

  • Tutors are not required to reward or provide gifts to the student at any time or for any reason.
  • AE assesses the student’s progress based on their individual needs and does not administer scheduled tests or exams.

COMMUNICATION

To ensure effective communication and maintain a transparent environment, parents are encouraged to make an appointment via the office to meet with their child’s teacher/tutor. It is important to note that contacting teachers/tutors privately or discussing Atheera Education (AE) matters in person, one-on-one, without a witness is not permitted. AE cannot be held responsible for any situations that may arise from communication outside scheduled appointments.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Regarding the use of mobile or laptop devices in class, AE does not permit their use unless specifically assigned by a tutor. If parents require the use of such devices for communication with their child, permission must be sought from management.

BREAKDOWN OF PARENT-ATHEERA RELATIONSHIP

If the relationship between a parent and AE deteriorates to the extent that it negatively affects the overall relationship, management retains the right to request the parent to withdraw their children from AE. This decision will be made with the aim of preserving a mutually beneficial and respectful environment for all parties involved. If a parent chooses to withdraw their child on their own accord, the full term’s fees will apply. If management decides to withdraw the child, fees up to that point will apply.
